Research officer opportunity for a health or social care researcher or professional - Wales Kidney Research Unit

20/12/2016

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic GRADE 6 or 7 research officer to join the Wales Kidney Research Unit team at Bangor University led by Professor Jane Noyes.

Applications for secondments are also welcome from candidates demonstrating research experience (such as contributing to studies or conducting studies) and relevant clinical experience of working as a renal nurse (including specialist nurse in organ donation), psychologist, social worker, pharmacist etc. A secondment may offer a good opportunity for a health or social care professional to gain further experience of working in a research environment.  Candidates seeking a secondment must have agreement in principle from their employer.

The post is an all-Wales post. Subject to negotiation, the post holder may be based  anywhere in Wales as long as they are able to work as an integrated member of the team to deliver the WKRU objectives and are able to spend time with the WKRU team based at Bangor University on a regular basis.

The successful applicant is expected to commence as soon as possible and the post is available until 31st March 2018 in the first instance. It is anticipated that a secondment would be for a defined period in the first instance (for example 9-12 months).
